Féile Átha Dá Chab 2009 will be held in Ballydehob, Co. Cork, Ireland, on April 17-19, 2009. It will be the third year of this little festival with a big heart and hopefully it will be even better than the first two years. Féile Átha Dá Chab brings some of Ireland's best traditional artists to the village of Ballydehob to give workshops and play for local and visiting audiences. Visitors can expect great impromptu pub sessions, a concert, a children's session, and workshops in music song and dance. The line-up of artists for for Féile Átha Dá Chab 2009 is as follows: Mary Bergin (tin whistle), Brendan Begley (button accordion), Conal O Grada (flute), Tony Linnane (fiddle), Róisín Ní Mhainín (sean-nós dancing), and Ann Mulqueen (sean-nós and traditional singing). Profiles of these performers and other festival information will be posted on the blog in the coming months, so keep an eye on it if you want to be in the know.
