Fundraising for Féile Átha Dá Chab Well Underway

Well, the sponsorship and support for Féile Átha Da Chab 2007, Ballydehob Traditional Music, Song, and Dance Festival is really materialising now. Camier's Garage of Ballydehob is going to sponsor the bodhrán workshop. Kitchen Store/Summer Salt Café will treat all workshop teachers to lunches and provide a session space for young musicians over the course of the weekend.
Other sponsors include Nell Levis's Bar and the village book shop. Annie's Restaurant and Coughlan's Bar in Ballydehob and the Skibbereen branch of FBD Insurance have also pledged support. Some of the pubs in the village, including the Irish Whip and Rosie's, are going to foot the bill for sessions by the workshop teachers.
As regards grants, the application for a small festival grant from the Arts Council is currently being processed and the application for a grant from Foras na Gaeilge is going in the post tommorow!
